What happens between the quote and the install

It starts with what you are trying to solve — a room that gets too hot, a window overlooked by neighbours, a patio you never use, or a whole house that needs finishing. That is more useful to us than a list of products, because it usually points to the right answer faster.

We can talk it through by phone or email first, but we do not quote sight unseen. Window coverings are made to the millimetre and the room matters.

We come to you with samples, at no cost and with no obligation. Seeing materials, colours and finishes in your own light, against your own flooring and walls, is the part that makes the decision easy. Colours look different in every room.

This is also when we check the practical constraints: reveal depths, where a headbox can mount, whether there is wall space for a curtain to stack back, whether power is available for a motor.

We measure precisely at the same visit and quote from those measurements. Everything is made to your openings rather than cut down from stock sizes, which is what allows a proper fit on windows that are rarely perfectly square.

The quote sets out what is included so you can compare it properly against anything else you are considering.

Once you confirm, your order goes into manufacture with our suppliers. Lead times vary by product and by season — shutters take longer than blinds, and custom colours longer than standard. We give you an expected timeframe when you order and keep you posted if anything shifts.

Our own installers fit everything. That means square, level, operating smoothly, and your home left as they found it. On a new build or renovation we coordinate with your builder so we are not fitting blinds before the painters have finished.

We run through the operation with you before we leave, including care instructions and anything specific to motorised products.

Products carry warranties that vary by range, covering structure, finish and componentry separately. Those are set out at the time of quoting. If something needs adjusting later, we are local and we come back.
